Quiet, warm and sunny weather remains intact across the Lowcountry but changes are not far away.

Look for another mainly sunny day with highs in the low 80s inland and low 70s along the beaches with a south breeze 10-15 mph.

Clouds will be on the increase on Thursday ahead of a cold front that will bring stormy weather into our area late Thursday night thru Friday.

Rain is on the way out but the clouds will be lagging behind.  Sunny and milder weather is headed our way this weekend!

Today, look for a spotty shower thru the afternoon, otherwise we'll see some sun begin to break out with highs climbing into the low 60s.  Skies will continue clearing tonight with lows falling into the 40s.

Live 5 Meteorologist says it is going to be a wet Thursday, so keep an umbrella handy:

Grab the umbrella, wet and cool weather has moved into the Lowcountry but great weather will arrive just in time for the weekend.

Today, expect off and on showers with a cool and brisk NE breeze.  Temps will be well below normal in the low 60s.  More scattered rain is on tap for tonight with lows falling to around 50.

Only a slight chance for a shower will remain for Friday morning with clearing skies by Friday night and sunshine returning for Saturday!

Bank closing after damage by Georgetown sinkhole

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (AP) - A Georgetown bank damaged by a sinkhole almost a year ago is closing its doors.

The Bank of America branch was damaged by a sinkhole in November 2011.

The bank has operated from a mobile unit at the site since the damage occurred but now will be closing in June.

The bank decided to close the building because of the structural damage as well as changing banking habits. The bank says fewer people are making transactions at the bank.

The nearest bank for Bank of America customers will be in Pawleys Island after the Georgetown branch closes.
