Sheriff's deputies deliver food baskets to families in need

For the third year in a row, the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office with the Murrells Inlet Elks Lodge #2797 delivered Thanksgiving Food Baskets to families in need on Monday, Nov. 21.

The Murrells Inlet Elks Lodge delivered a complete turkey dinner that included at least one turkey and all of the fixings for a Thanksgiving feast to the sheriff's office.  The sheriff's deputies organized and delivered those meals to families identified by the Georgetown County School District.

"We are honored to serve our less fortunate residents in their time of need during the holidays," Sheriff A. Lane Cribb said.

The school district identified 28 families in need this Thanksgiving.
