GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC)- Georgetown County sheriffs have arrested a man who allegedly hit a female security officer in the side of the head with a pool stick during a bar fight on July 15.
Maurice Thomas McCallum, 29, was arrested on November 5 and charged with one count of attempted murder. He is being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
According to a report, a fight broke out at the 701 Club on North Fraser Street on July 15 at 2:30 p.m. When the victim, a female security officer, attempted to break up the fight with other officers, McCallum hit her on the left side of her head with a pool stick.
Officials say McCallum then fled the club.
Member of the US Marshal's Fugitive Apprehension Task Force arrested McCallum at his place of employment on November 5 following an investigation into the incident.
