GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - Four students and the driver of a school bus have been taken to a hospital after a car crash in Georgetown.
Lance Corporal Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say the school bus was stropped on Highmarket Street near Merriman Street when it was struck around 7:49 a.m.
All four of the students on board the bus and the bus driver were taken to a hospital to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, but it's not clear how bad the students and driver were hurt.
Georgetown City Police Capt. Nelson Brown says the crash also involved a car and an SUV. The two people inside the SUV were also hospitalized.
The southbound lanes of Highmarket Street were closed as authorities work to clear the scene, but the highway is now reopen to traffic.
